Meet Pastor Mose A. Jones

Pastor Mose A. Jones is the humble and proud pastor of the Bethlehem MBC of Houston and the Greater Hope Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  He is married to Sylvia Jackson Jones and the father of 4 children, 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Mose Alvin accepted Christ at a very early age.  He joined and was baptized at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church by the late Dr. M. L. Jackson.  Pastor Jones readily admits that he is a Fifth Ward product, whom God has blessed tremendously. God blessed him with an amazing combination of diverse life experiences, which has prepared him for his divine appointment at both churches.  

In September 1989, a great authority was placed upon him as he answered in the affirmative to become the Pastor and Leader of the Greater Hope Church in the Sunnyside addition of Houston.  He has encouraged his parishioners to work and give back to the community.  Pastor Jones continues to serve as pastor of Greater Hope Church, while serving as pastor of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Houston.  

Rev. Jones is a renown Gospel Messenger and recording artist empowered by God.  He travels to many states as a revivalist singing and preaching Gods word.  He is first vice-moderator of the South Texas District Association.  He was blessed to have an opportunity to travel to the Holy Land and to be baptized in the River of Jordan.    

The year of 2006 was one of the most meaningful years in the life of Mose Alvin Jones, because on May 21, 2006, the records reflect that he became the senior pastor of his home church.  Since 2006, under the direction of God, Pastor Jones brought the church through a period of transition and transformation.  Pastor Jones proudly accepts the challenge and is highly elated to have been called to Pastor the church he lovingly calls (My Church). Thanks be to God that Pastor Jones allows himself to be led by the Holy Spirit and be used as a vessel from which souls are saved, lives reclaimed, and the Word of God flows.
